A ‘No Risk’ Solution

Leading Liverpool based Risk Management solicitors Legal Risk have invested in Lexacom Talk & Type dictation management system provided by BDF Solutions. Key to the success of the installation has been the simplicity and flexibility of the Lexacom solution.

We essentially required a simple, scaleable, cost effective digital dictation workflow solution with facility for working away which would grow in line with the needs of the firm's expanding practice whilst being flexible enough to take advantage of new dictation technologies as they arise".

A key feature of the Lexacom system for Mr Maher is its integration with Market leading digital dictation peripheral devices. Legal Risk fee earners use Olympus DS-330 Digital Voice Recorders for off-site dictation. The high compression ratio of Olympus DSS audio files make them suitable for e-mailing to secretarial support where they can be quickly integrated into the Lexacom dictation pool for typing.

Lexacom plan to introduce a mobile client later in the year for use on Microsoft Smartphone technology. This will eliminate the need for multiple dictation and communication devices and provide a discreet single device for dictation, organisation, e-mail and telephone communication. The Lexacom Mobile client for Windows Mobile 2002 based PDAs is already available through BDF Solutions.
