Lexacom
Talk removes the hassle from dictating and makes it as simple
and as straightforward as is possible.
As Lexacom Talk is installed on the PC, it is always ready to take your dictation, recording your words in high quality digital sound. It allows unprecedented control of the dictation process, allowing you to replace parts of the dictation, as well as insert into the dictation or edit out unwanted passages or words.
The simple interface allows the user to quickly select priority and destination settings (using keyboard shortcuts is preferred) and send the completed work with a click on a mouse, or a press of a button.
Lexacom Talk works perfectly well with a desktop microphone and speakers, but is also fully compatible with the Philips SpeechMike Pro. This useful hand-held device allows complete control over Lexacom Talk and includes a high quality microphone and speaker designed specifically for dictating – the USB version even has a virtual sound card allowing it to work on PCs with no sound card installed.
Although the simplicity, efficiency and ease of use is reason enough to upgrade your dictation system to Lexacom Talk & Type, Lexacom Talk also has a host of useful features which makes it the most complete and flexible dictation package available.
Dictation Tracking gives the user a step-by-step report for each and every dictation, with dates, times and names for each action. This data can be compiled by Lexacom Audit (available shortly) to provide you with detailed reports of workflow and time taken by office, department or user.

Dictation Tracking also allows the user to ‘get back’ a dictation that has already been sent to the secretary, so long as it hasn’t been selected or typed. Find the dictation on the Tracking screen, right-click over it and click on ‘get back’. It couldn’t be simpler.
If the user wishes to give more consideration to a subject before completing the dictation, or has a more pressing dictation to do, they simply click on the ‘Hold’ button to save the work and free Lexacom Talk to start another dictation. When ready to finish the original work, use the reclaim function to restore the dictation and complete it.
Certain third party computer programs can be integrated with Lexacom Talk so that the reference name or number is automatically inserted into the reference text box when a dictation is started. Our software installation engineers can advise you of this compatibility at any time.
Users with a regular list of people or organisations that are written to can add the names to their personal recipient list to save repetitive entering of names. If the list of names is company wide, it can be applied to all users by the Administrator will the minimum of fuss.
